There is nothing more important to me than family. Way, way back when I was a little shaver our family did everything together. We didn’t have a TV for the longest time so we had to do things together. We played games, camped, hiked. Even though we didn’t always see eye to eye we still showed love and respect to each other, especially to our parents. But, I think that going though that time as a kid taught me the importance of Family. We were always there for each other in anything we were doing. I remember wrestling on the JV team and my brother, Chuck was a HUGE wrestling star and a varsity captain on the team but he would always wait until I had wrestled before he went into the locker room to dress out and get ready for his own match.
So when I got married I too wanted to have a close family and I really feel we do. I know in my heart that if any of us were in a jam and really needed help we would all come running. Now even though I feel we had a very close family when I was growing up, something was missing. The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

It is so important to keep the Lord in our lives. Our Stake President has incorportated a “Seven Simple Things” that families can do to stay connected with the Gospel. 1) Read the scriptures daily individually, 2) Read the scriptures together as a family daily 3) Pray together as a family morning and night 4) Personal Prayers morning and night 5) Attend Church as a family 6) Hold FHE every week and 7) attend the Temple monthly. Constant effort on these simple things can help us all stay on track with the Lord and each other.
